Trip Details
Click the vid and take a look.
Go ahead . . . I'll wait.
Pretty stunning stuff. Isn't it?
Here is a nice vid that covers the some of the hikes. This vid has both the cave hikes and the high-line trial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBNtbD1OfmY
Pinnacles was originally established as a national monument in 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt, and was re-designated as a National Park in 2012. So it is a recent addition in that respect.
There is the Balconies and the Bear Gulch cave hikes. There is also the Highline hike. All three of these are standout. There are several other misc hikes that are also pretty amazing for the views and fauna.
There is of course . .. The Condors. The largest living flying bird. (ostrich larger but they don't fly).
It's a stunningly rugged area with astounding beauty. Just sit on a rock overlook and take it in. Or find a quiet spot on a sheltered cave area take in the solitude.
We have a nice private site that is shaded and secluded. Plenty of space. With flush toilets and showers. Water at our sites. We are going at a perfect time of year for this location. Summer is brutal hot. For our stay temp's to hover at 70 in the day. Will have a chill at night. Just bring an extra blanket to drape over your bag.
We will bring three (or more) portable outdoor propane heaters to augment the campfires.
This is Tent Camping. Not RV, Van, Campervan, trailer, etc. We have a tent site that is tree'd and shaded.
Food: We are NOT doing any potlucks or food sharing, or anything that involves other people preparing your food. It's a safety thing. You are responsible for bringing and prepping your own food.
Aside from food all you need in a basic tent, basic sleeping bag, a sleeping pad (yoga mat) and a camp chair. Add in some Rose' and a campfire . . . and you have recipe for refilling your soul over a nice and mellow weekend.
This will be a covid-safe event. We will have a full set of protocols that will keep us all safe. And we will be able to be distanced as needed at our site and when out also.
Notice of Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate by Age, Gender, Gender Preference, Ethnicity, National Origin, Race, Color, Religion. This is NOT true of all organizers or all groups. Some overtly or secretly limit, exclude, discriminate or cherry pick. There is no "secret survey" to submit so you can be chosen or excluded.
It's very simple. Our events are safe, limited size, curated and guided resulting in high quality people and fun. Our events always fill with an Alternates list forming.
Payment links will be removed with no warning when event is full. Don't miss out.
Seriously . . . there are many with big sadness who wait only to find links removed. Don't be that gal or guy.
We welcome all. This is a friendly social event in strange times. We will get out and be safe, and create new memories and friends.
Come alone and leave with friends.
Come with friends and leave with more friends.
We welcome you and look forward to sharing around the campfires.
